Dew
Stewart Dew is a banking professional with 20+ years of industry experience. He received his BS in Commerce from the University of Virginia and his MBA from Vanderbilt’s Owen School. He is also a member of the IMA and holds the CFM Certified Financial Manager designation from that organization.
Currently he is a Senior Vice President and Finance Director for Sovereign Bank’s NE Franchise including Retail and Commercial Lines of Business and Sovereign’s Corporate Services Group which provides back-office support across the bank. Functionally, he leads a team whose responsibilities include budgeting, accounting close and policy support, financial planning, and analysis for the business line.
Stewart has been active as a teacher and guest lecturer for Junior Achievement, Memphis University, the New England Aquarium’s “Beach Teach Program,” and the American Bankers Association. Through the ABA, he has taught numerous on-line courses covering banking, economics, and financial management.
In the community, Stewart performed volunteer work as a coach for numerous youth soccer teams and inner city high school tennis teams. He has also volunteered as a consultant to several community based entrepreneurial organizations. He currently remains an active vestry member of his church.
Stewart and his wife presently live in North Easton, MA with their daughter and son.
