President, MCEE

Dr. Margaret Brooks was appointed President of the Massachusetts Council on Economic Education in September 2007.

She is a graduate of Brown University, where she earned her Doctorate, Master's, and Bachelor's degrees in Economics.

She is also Chairperson and Professor of Economics at Bridgewater State College. Prior to her appointment as MCEE President, she served as Director of Bridgewater's Center for Economic Education since 1993.

Margaret is the author of numerous publications relating to the teaching of economics, a presenter at many national and regional conferences, the principal investigator for more than a dozen grants, and an active promoter of economic and financial literacy in Massachusetts.

She is married to Robert D. Brooks of South Hamilton.
