Daniel
J. McCarthy
Chairperson, MCEE
Dan McCarthy is currently the Vice President in charge of institutional
business development in the Midwest for Eaton Vance Management,
the nation’s 14th largest asset manager with nearly $ 160
billion in assets under management. Prior to joining Eaton Vance
in 2006, Dan accumulated twenty years of experience in the financial
services industry with exposure to a wide variety of investment
research, trading, and portfolio strategies across multiple asset
classes. After several years with Goldman Sachs, Credit Suisse,
and Leerink Swann, Dan most recently served as a Vice President
of State Street Global Markets where he helped to introduce new
proprietary flow-based research and quantitative strategies to major
institutional investors across the U.S. Dan graduated from Harvard
College with a B.A. in Government and International Relations and
received his Masters in Business Administration from Harvard Business
School. He currently serves as the Chairperson of the Massachusetts
Council on Economic Education (MCEE), and also organizes charity
fundraisers for the educational needs of Boston schoolchildren.
Dan has served on various operating committees of the Boston Stock
Exchange and is also a past President of the Boston Securities Traders
Association.
Dan, his wife Stacey, and their two children reside in Brookline.
